Paula Creps

Paula Creps, Program Director

Paula received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from UNL and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UNO. Paula Has worked in the Human Service field for over 25 years in a variety of different areas to include Child Welfare, Foster Care Services and Domestic Violence Programming. In her role, Paula oversees the operations management for Sarpy County CASA by supervising volunteers, secures funding by managing grants, participates in public speaking events, coordinates events, fundraising, serves on various boards and committees and collaborates with community professionals.

Paula lives in Papillion, is married and has two sons.

Tara DeBartolo, Volunteer Specialist

Tara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Protection and Juvenile Justice from Bellevue University. In her role as Volunteer Specialist, Tara supervises volunteers, coordinates on-going training opportunities for active volunteers, oversees marketing, and assists and implements various events for the program.

Tara was raised in Papillion and currently resides in Papillion with her son and husband.

Candi Marcantel, Volunteer Coordinator

Candi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Bellevue University and her Master’s Degree in Organizational Management with a specialization in Public Administration from Ashford University. Candi is currently working toward her PhD in Transformative Social Change from Saybrook University.

Candi has been working in the child welfare arena both in Nebraska and North Dakota for nearly 25 years. In her role as Volunteer Coordinator, Candi supervises volunteers, coordinates family drug court, participates in public speaking events, serves on various committees and boards, screens and trains new volunteers, and is a qualified expert witness for matters involving the Indian Child Welfare Act. Candi is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

Candi has four children and six grandchildren.

Jennifer Simmonds

Jennifer Simmonds, Administrative Assistant

Jenn is the first point of contact at the Sarpy County CASA office, which is located in the Juvenile Court at the Sarpy County Courthouse. Jenn keeps the CASA office organized and on track with day to day operations, while making sure families are taken care of as they check in for court hearings. Jenn has her degree in applied science.

Jenn currently resides in LaVista with her husband and two daughters.
